I accompanied Asca and her "Cheerleader" / Counsellor, David Briggs to the Rugby Saturday Breakfast Club on what could certainly be described as a bright and sunny morning. The meeting itself was wonderfully casual and relaxed, with a popular thread of conversation during the meal being the temperature of the baked beans! Asca did comment during her talk that it actually felt like a family breakfast on a Saturday morning, which summed up the atmosphere nicely.

As always, Asca engaged well with her audience, asking questions and getting some interesting responses as the talk progressed. The content had changed yet again, with the key feature at the beginning now being Asca's introduction to that popular English icon - the scone... which of course included David's role as her official "scone coach". I do remember the look of horror on his face during that first experience when Asca started to reassemble the carefully prepared half-scones!

Those present clearly enjoyed Asca's insight into both Japanese and English cultures and the questions and conversation continued well after the meeting ended.
