Coventry Phoenix Rotary Club helds its 2009 Indian Cultural Evening on Friday 8th May. The whole event was thoroughly enjoyable, combining a variety of aspects of Indian culture - including dancing demonstrations and food (with an "English" alternative). There was even an opportunity for the women to dress up, courtesy of President Elect Kala Patel's extensive wardrobe!

Lorna and I attended the RIBI (Rotary in Britain and Ireland) Conference in Edinburgh over the weekend. We were able to take with us Amanda Amaral (Long Term Youth Exchange from Brazil), Hannah Johnson (Ambassadorial Scholar from Washington State, USA), Sasha Chou (Ambassadorial Scholar from Taiwan) and Eriko Iwata (Ambassadorial Scholar from Japan).
