RGBI,Rotaract's equivalent of RIBI, met in Oxford this Sunday morning. Whilst it is for District Rotaract Representatives (Rotaractors), the District Rotaract Chairmen (Rotarians) are expected to attend as well so off I went to the Oxford Holiday Inn. A few districts were represented but as James was at Interota I represented our District.
It is a meeting that needs development but by the end of the session a way forward had been identified to tighten up practice and effectiveness. It is always a challenge when something has diminished and is on the rise again to develop and reinvigorate it. There is a lot of enthusiasm for Rotaract present here and a structure but procedural processes need developing and embedding.
I suspect some conversation will follow through about the RGBI position at the half year meeting next week for New Generations, Community and Rotaract Chairmen - so guess where I will be?
