A short drive in the sunshine bought me to Southam College where I met Jim Sleight and Dave Roberts to attend the Interact Club meeting. This club is sponsored by the 2 Southam Rotary clubs. What was really great to see was the number of members there and to hear of their ideas for fundraising and getting more involved with the community. We were able to share with them what Rotary is doing and what other opportunities are available to them e.g. Youth competitions, camps etc..

This is such a friendly club and the welcome was as lovely as ever. Never left for a moment to stare at my feet or twiddle my thumbs but someone to talk to all the time...even an attempt at a curtsey. It was nice to be joined by 2 members of Rugby Rotary Club (even if the IPDG has already heard me speak).
The conversation was lovely and focussed on the local communities in the area. What came across at this club is a real enthusiasm for Rotary, care for one another and a desire to serve...
