Over 50 people attended Oldbury Rotary Club's 75th Charter anniversary including RIBI President David Fowler and Daphne. It was well supported by other local clubs which was great to see. I think I counted 8 other clubs represented and some by several members.

It was great after a long day at work to drive over to the Regis Restaurant for Oldbury's event in aid of the End Polio Now campaign. One of their members has a band that plays music from the 60s onwards. They entertained us all evening and I must admit it was great to just sit back and listen. The company was great and the ambience was lovely. The buffet was great and I just enjoyed the opportunity to relax.

It was great to see Dave the intrepid blind marathon man (7 marathons in 7 days on 7 continents) be made an honorary member. A lot of light hearted conversation. It was lovely to have 2 young children and their mum at the meeting as well as the guide dog! It gave it a real family feel - would be lovely to see more of this at Rotary meetings.
