Hogarths is a lovely venue and it certainly suited the size of Knowle and Dorridge's Charter Anniversary dinner. It was great to see several clubs represented, even a couple from a Dutch club Knowle & Dorridge has links with attended and the International flavour was extended by the presence of our Lithuanian Youth Exchange student. Sometimes getting from Nottingham can be a real challenge and tonight was one of those occasions. I only just got to the hotel at the start of the Knowle and Dorridge Rotary Club meeting. It was good to be back amongst friends and I was made very welcome. I wanted to be there to hear the GSE team as they were the team that did me and the District proud in New Zealand. Phil Head took me across through the Monday evening traffic to the Greswolde Hotel for the Knowle & Dorridge Rotary Club Meeting. A lovely hotel and it was great to have a Rotarian at the door waiting to welcome me (it felt a bit like being the Queen). The welcome was lovely and it was great to be involved in conversation around the table for the whole meal.
