A slightly cold night (but at least not as cold or icy as this time last year) which saw several Rotarians from the five Coventry Clubs assembled together to work their way around the streets of Radford with the Santa Sleigh. Several children (and adults) were pleased to see Santa (which Terry carried off so well) which made up for the houses where you knew people were in but were ignoring you. It is amazing how quickly a year goes by and we are now back into handover season. The first for me was Coventry Breakfast's earlyish (!) on Saturday morning. It was great to meet up again with club members and Rotarians from the other Coventry clubs. It was good to see that Bob had had a really enjoyable year and Margaret and Terry excited and enthusiastic about the year to come. The meeting, as usual, had a very relaxed feel to it. Despite oversleeping because of jetlag we got to the Coventry Breakfast Handover meeting in time. It was good to be back amongst friends from several Coventry Clubs as well as Tamworth Club members. It was good to reflect on the year of Jeff and look forward to the year of Bob. The Coventry Breakfast Handover meetings are always a relaxed event and today was no exception. A good breakfast always awaits you here and a good choice of types of coffee.

A lovely annual event which is always relaxed and a lot of fun even if it means another Saturday without a lie in. We took Asca, an ambassadorial scholar, and our two girls from the Czech Republic along with us which they enjoyed as they could have the type of breakfast I hardly ever provide!

A lovely sunny morning to travel into the centre of Coventry equalled by the sunny atmosphere in the meeting of Coventry Breakfast Rotary Club. It was good to be amongst friends and I am very grateful for the reception I received. This was especially nice as having just seen Amanda off at the airport the night before and knowing that she was still on the plane home to Brazil I needed something cheerful to pick me up. The club certainly did that!
