After a busy day at the Institute it was nice to go out for the evening to a great event. President Roger made us very welcome and introduced us to members and guests as they arrived.
The whole evening was very relaxed and the food was really nice. It was great to have a toast included to the Armed Forces as this event is so near to Remembrance Day.

After the glorious weather of the weekend it was a shame to find the journey over cloudy and wet. However, the welcome more than made up for it and it was nice to be in a club where people happily spoke to me and Peter (my chauffeur for the afternoon).
The room was lovely for the meeting, as was the meal and the company. Have ensured that PDG Brian Moore and I are not visiting the same club as each other for a while (as this was his 3rd time of hearing the talk!).
